This article has steps for admins and users to set up Gmail with another mail client. Your users might want to send and receive mail from other email clients, for example Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail. If you're running Mac OS X version 10.10 or later, follow these steps to set up an Exchange email account: Open Mail, and then do one of the following: If you've never used Mail to set up an email account, the Welcome to Mail page. Set up Exchange account access using Mac OS X 10.10 or later. See Add an email account to Outlook for instructions.Some accounts, such as Google, may ask you to click Open Browser and complete the authentication in your web browser. Select your email provider from the list, then click Continue. Most email accounts can be added to Outlook within seconds, but some may require a manual setup.From the menu bar in Mail, choose Mail > Add Account.(If Outlook for Mac cant find your account, select IMAP/POP. Enter your email address and select Continue. If you havent opened Outlook before, youll see a welcome screen. Select Tools > Accounts > Add > New Account.
